I’ve been a bit lax in getting my game visits written up. I have several to type up and get on the site, so hopefully they will appear over the next few days.
In the meantime this is my first non-football related post. In addition to going to football matches I also write comedy and act. As such my comedy sketch group’s radio pilot The Magic Glue is on Radio Scotland this evening at 6.10pm. It will then be on the BBC iPlayer for a week. Please do listen in if you have the time and I’ll get back to getting the footie posts written up.
You can listen to it now on the BBC iPlayer at this link.

Thanks for the comment Wayupnorth, glad you liked it.
I’ve been meaning to squeeze a wee Saturday morning game in for a while now. Where do Lomond Vale play their home games?

were in the glasgow colleges association one of the oldest in scotland http://www.glasgowcollegesfa.co.uk/leaguehistory.pl. our home games are at argyll park alexandria and away are all over glasgow from greenfield in the east end to john browns in clydebank . kick offs are 10am which is a bit early for many but the games are often goal fests.

I can’t access iPlayer from my work station, but I’m making a point of listening in when I get home.
The fitba matches must be a good source of material,eh?

Thanks for that link wayupnorth. Alexandria’s not that far and I can do John Brown’s for 10am easy. I’ll definitely be along to see Lomond Vale at some point in the season.
Kenfitlike we’ve actually got a couple of football related sketches in our repertoire that didn’t make it to the pilot. I’ve certainly jotted down a few bits of patter I’ve heard at the games for future use though.

Good stuff. If I can get used to getting out my bed early on a Saturday morning I’ll try to make the 10am kick-offs a regular thing.

I’ve been pretty shoddy at updating the blog aye. But I’m still going to games, was up in Cove on Saturday and took in a Glasgow Colleges game last week before the Clydebank cup-tie. I’ll need to sit down and knock up some short summaries of the games I’ve been to and get the blog going again.
